The height sensors are installed in the suspension system of commercial vehicles.
Their main purpose is to inform the suspension Electronic Control Unit (ECU) about the existing height between chassis and roadway. Thanks to this, the ECU sends the necessary electronic signals to maintain a certain height regardless the vehicle weight, so that a perfect driving stability is achieved.
The height sensors can have different operating modes, being potentiometric and inductive sensors the most commonly used.
The potentiometric height sensors vary their strength value, depending on the rotation angle of the sensor. On the other hand, the inductive sensors present a coil inductance variation depending on their rotation.
At Cojali, we put all our knowledge in electronics and our modern manufacturing processes for the development of these sensors.
