The braking system is the most important active safety system among all systems integrated into a vehicle. Therefore, sensoring plays a key role when it comes to know the state of a vehicle when it is on the road.

The tyre grip or the state of the road are data interpretable by the control unit (ECU) thanks to the speed sensors installed in the wheels.

Speed sensors measure the vehicle speed at all times and send this information to the control unit. Thanks to this information and to the one provided by other sensors, the algorithm that controls the braking is capable of acting in the active braking components to ensure optimal conditions of braking distance and vehicle stability.
