One of the most important parts of a cooling viscous clutch is the main shaft. The rest of parts are assembled upon this component, which is in charge of transferring the movement of the engine to the clutch and bearing its weight. For that reason, the main shaft is the component more prone to mechanical failures or breaks.

When we are at the final development stages of a new viscous clutch model, it is essential to carry out performance tests in the vehicle itself in order to verify that the clutch behaviour meets the cooling needs of the vehicle under real conditions.
