DID YOU KNOW THAT THERE ARE DIFFERENT ACTIVATION MECHANISMS FOR A VISCOUS CLUTCH?

Within Cojali's range of products, we offer the most important clutch activation systems, among which we highlight:

• Electrical Activation: The clutch is connected by a cable to a control unit in charge of controlling the activation and deactivation of the clutch, and therefore the fan. This is the newest system on the market and with which a better operation optimisation is achieved, thanks to the possibility of regulating intermediate speeds.
• Bimetal Activation: This consists of a purely mechanical activation (clutch without electrical connection) and in which a component located on the front of the clutch known as “bimetal” changes its size depending on the temperature, thus activating or deactivating the fan.
• Pneumatic Activation: Although currently a disused technology, is still present in some vehicles, in which activation takes place through a signal of compressed air.
