The range group module is an electromagnetically actuated element that is installed in automated manual gearboxes (AMT), mainly in gearboxes GS Telligent or Powershift of Daimler vehicles (Mercedes-Benz).

The main function of this module is to perform the range shift between “Low” and “High” positions of the range group.

It is formed by two solenoid valves and a position sensor. One of the solenoid valves is in charge of activating the “Low” position (gears from first to sixth), whereas the other one activates the “High” position (gears from seventh to twelfth).

The position sensor is responsible for measuring the position of the rod after the solenoid valve activation.
